By Alan BeirneThe Aertel teletext service which has been running for well over three decades is being switched off today, Thursday, October 12th. The UHF signal was finely tuned by Dad roaring down to us in the living room through the chimney from 25 foot up on the roof “anything yet” followed by the reply “woow woow hold it there ya have it now!”. There was one final detail, we had to choose the version with Aertel or the one without it. For the few pounds extra the deal for Aertel was done and the Beirnes of Boho were getting connected to the outside world. Farewell to Aertel and thank you for keeping us connected when we wanted to be connected to the outside World.
